FAQ

FAQ

1. What services do you provide?

Comfort Nest offers non-medical in-home support designed to keep clients safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible. Services include personal care, hygiene assistance, meal preparation, companionship, behavioral redirection, safety monitoring, medication reminders and assistance when permitted under RN delegation, mobility support, light housekeeping, and essential errands.

Transportation may be available depending on safety, mobility needs, and caregiver capacity.

2. Do you accept clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive impairments?

Yes. Our care model was built with memory care in mind. We specialize in providing calm, structured support for clients with cognitive impairments, including safety monitoring, redirection, daily living assistance, and maintaining routines that reduce anxiety and confusion.

3. Do you provide behavioral support?

Yes. While we are a non-medical agency, we provide behavioral redirection and structured daily support for clients who experience confusion, agitation, or difficulty focusing. We maintain safety, help manage routines, and use supportive communication techniques appropriate for memory-care settings.

4. Do you administer medications?

Comfort Nest is a non-medical home care agency, so we do not perform skilled nursing care such as injections, wound care, or IV therapy.

However, caregivers may provide medication reminders and limited medication assistance when permitted under RN delegation and Alabama guidelines.

This allows clients to maintain consistent medication routines while remaining safely at home.

5. What are your service rates?

Our pricing is based on a flat hourly rate depending on the client’s acuity level, needs, and care plan.

Typical rates range from:

$35–$40 per hour, depending on the level of assistance required. Additional charges may apply depending on location of service.

Optional service packages, such as transportation or extended errand support, may increase the rate slightly.

There are no additional charges for nights, weekends, or holidays — our pricing remains consistent regardless of the day or time.

All rates are discussed upfront after the initial assessment, so there are no surprises.

6. Do you offer transportation?

Transportation for doctor’s appointments or essential errands may be available depending on the client’s mobility, equipment needs, and caregiver safety considerations.

We evaluate each request individually to ensure transportation can be provided safely.

7. How quickly can services start?

Most clients can begin services within 24–72 hours after the initial assessment, depending on staffing availability and the complexity of the care plan.

8. Do you take insurance?

Comfort Nest operates as a private-pay home care agency. This allows us to provide flexible, personalized care without insurance restrictions.

Some clients may use long-term care insurance for reimbursement.

9. What areas do you serve?

We currently serve:

Madison
Huntsville
Athens
Decatur
and surrounding areas.

Expansion may be available depending on caregiver availability and travel distance.

10. How do I get started?

You can complete our online inquiry form or call us directly. We will schedule an RN-led assessment, discuss your needs, and create a personalized care plan.
