Comfort Nest In-Home & Memory Care provides non-medical personal care and companionship services designed to support safety, dignity, and independence in the comfort of home.

With an RN owner providing oversight and guidance, Comfort Nest offers an additional level of experience and care coordination compared to many caregiver-only agencies.

Below is an overview of services currently offered.

• Bathing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
• Dressing and undressing
• Toileting assistance and incontinence care
• Safe transfers and mobility support
• Assistance with feeding and meal setup
• Support with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Social interaction and emotional support
• Conversation and companionship
• Recreational activities and cognitive stimulation
• Monitoring for safety concerns such as wandering or confusion
• Supportive redirection and reassurance for dementia-related behaviors

Comfort Nest is a non-medical home care agency. We do not provide skilled nursing services such as injections, wound care, or IV therapy.

However, we can assist with medication support through:

• medication reminders
• assistance with medication routines
• organization of medication schedules
• monitoring for adherence concerns

When appropriate, trained caregivers may assist with medications under RN delegation in accordance with Alabama guidelines.

Any medication assistance provided is limited to tasks permitted for non-medical caregivers.

• Home organization for safety and accessibility
• Maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment

We assist clients with essential daily tasks that support independence and safety, including:

• Grocery shopping
• Pharmacy pick-ups

• Essential errands discussed during intake

Transportation may be available depending on safety considerations, mobility needs, and caregiver availability.

Possible transportation assistance may include:

• Doctor appointments
• Outpatient visits
• Essential local errands

All transportation requests are reviewed individually to ensure clients can be safely transported in a standard vehicle.

Comfort Nest specializes in support for individuals experiencing cognitive decline, dementia, or memory impairment.

Services may include:

• supervision for safety and wandering risk
• calm communication and reassurance
• routine-building to reduce confusion
• redirection during agitation or disorientation
• supportive engagement and cognitive stimulation
